Now that the contract bundles for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus from MaxisDiGi and Celcom have been revealed, which one is the more economical option? Which plan offers the best value for money to own over the entire contract period? We take all the plans offered by all three telcos and put them together so you can make an informed decision. The telcos are offering the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus with plans ranging from a monthly commitment of only RM50 all the way to over RM200, so whether you are a light mobile user or one who practically stays connected 24/7, there is an iPhone postpaid plan catered for your needs.

We’ve broken down the comparison to monthly commitments that cost RM100 and below, RM101 to RM200, and above RM200. You can compare what each plan offers for the price you pay, and how much you will have to pay for the device when you sign up (after adding in advance payments or the equivalent), and how much you will pay in total for the entire duration of the contract – be it 12 or 24 months.

While it may seem like you have to pay a price that is almost equivalent to the retail price of both phones when you sign up, the advance payment will be credited back to your account so you will pay less each month. Maxis’ advance payment will be reimbursed back to you over 4 to 5 months depending on the plans you pick. As for DiGi, the advance payment will be rebated back to you over the course of your contract (24 months) for iDiGi 78 and iDiGi 108, while the advance payment for iDiGi 50, iDiGi 148 and iDiGi 238 will be given back to you in the first month’s bill.

Finally for Celcom, the Advance payment will be credited to the first bill. On top of that, the telco also has an additional rebate for its Celcom First customers, which will be credited back to your bill over 10-20 months depending on your contract. The calculations are a bit complicating in our tables, the “total amount to pay upon subscription” is calculated before the extra special rebate hence the more expensive price. The full plan from Celcom can be found in our previous post.

Here’s the full table to compare everything in one.
